Residents of the Zaporizhzhya region are already picking the first spring mushrooms - morels.
The long-awaited mushrooms are collected near the village of Ulyanovka, Pologovsky district, Zaporizhia region. They are found under bushes, in the grass, near fields and parks, not far from the glades. In the local market, these mushrooms can be found at a price of 40 UAH / kg.
Morels can be collected until early June. They belong to conditionally edible mushrooms of the third category. To neutralize the toxic substances of mushrooms, they must be boiled for 20 minutes, dried without boiling, or frozen. Both drying and freezing change the taste of the mushroom; a completely different product is obtained.Morel can be found in Russia no earlier than May. If autumn is warm and long, then these mushrooms can be found in nature until October. In the southern part of Russia and in Ukraine, morels often grow in gardens, front gardens and on lawns. It is noteworthy that morels can be grown independently, unlike many forest mushrooms. The first attempts to grow morels were made back in the 19th century. French mushroom lovers made a peculiar discovery: morels appear in those orchards where the fallen apples lie. With the onset of spring, cut mushrooms scattered on the ground. All summer they saturate the earth with disputes. And with the advent of autumn, the garden plowed and was covered with apple squeezes. Next spring morels appeared on the ground.Share
