The other day, representatives of the horticultural industry of agriculture of the Krasnodar Territory joined in the process of harvesting early apple varieties. It is noteworthy that this year the start of apple harvesting began a week earlier than in 2018.

According to gardeners, apples of a variety such as Geneva Early were ripened before many other varieties. Market distributors note that the fruits of this variety are in great demand among Russian consumers. First of all, juiciness and unusual aroma of such apples are appreciated.

It should be noted that the cost of early Krasnodar apples today is much more expensive (almost three times) than a year earlier. The price per kilogram of early ripe fruits today is an average of 60 rubles.

It is noteworthy that at the moment the supply of early apples is rather limited at retail outlets in the Krasnodar Territory. Gardeners supply still small quantities of fruits for sale, however, in two weeks, market analysts are sure that the number of apples on domestic shelves will increase at least twice.

It is also important to add that in the early days of June 2019, adverse weather conditions formed on the territory of the Southern Federal District, which provoked a small number of apple crops and the quality of the products available today.

However, later varieties of apples will surely please consumers of the Krasnodar Territory and Russia as a whole with their excellent taste, high quality and affordable price, which is expected to form against the background of increased productivity.
