The head of the Republic of Uzbekistan the other day fixed his signature a document implying the ratification of the Agreement on the establishment of the International Organization of Viticulture and Winemaking.
It should be noted that this organization is an intergovernmental scientific and technical agency, whose work is concentrated on several basic principles.
In particular, the organization’s employees thoroughly study the properties of grapes and wines, defend the interests of winegrowers and winemakers, and also make every effort in the process of countering counterfeiters.
It is known that at the moment the organization includes representatives of forty-seven states. Together, they manage to produce more than eighty-eight percent of the total world winemaking.
The fact that the winemakers of Uzbekistan joined the organization and became part of the international association will affect the country's wine production only in the most positive way, experts are sure.
Indeed, from now on, Uzbek winegrowing experts will be able to exchange both experience and useful information, contacts of importers and other things with colleagues from the world community. In addition, membership in the organization makes it possible to firmly rely on the help of experts from around the world.
