The number of cattle belonging to the breeding stock on the territory of the Crimean peninsula has almost tripled over the past five years.
Such encouraging information was shared by Andrei Ryumshin, head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea.
As part of his report at a meeting of agricultural industry experts, the head of the department emphasized that since 2014, livestock analysts have begun to pay attention to one detail: the livestock of livestock is growing every year and to this day demonstrates a growth rate of 2.7 times.
In the framework of the report on the results of the functioning of pedigree cattle breeding over the past year, Ryumshin also reported that in the region entrusted to him there has been a tendency to increase purchases and sales of breeding individuals from the category of young animals.
In addition, the minister emphasized that today in Crimea the situation is quite acute with the artificial insemination of cows both in the private sector of entrepreneurship and in state farms.
However, Ryumshin and his colleagues are confident that generous funding and assistance from the authorities will surely help Crimeans overcome this problem.
