The Volyn Regional Phytosanitary Laboratory has expanded the scope of its activities, as reported in the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Volyn Regional State Administration.
In particular, in the new department for determining the biochemical and technological indicators of agricultural crops, they will now analyze 13 indicators of common wheat, rye, barley, triticale, corn, rape and soy.
The laboratory also acquired equipment for phytosanitary examination by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and expanded the scope of the phytosanitary analysis department in terms of conducting virological examination of plants and plant products.In addition, the phytosanitary laboratory purchased test systems for identifying pathogens of such diseases as bacterial wilting of corn, the striped mosaic virus of wheat, the striped mosaic virus of barley, the smallpox virus, and the bacterial fruit burn.
In addition, test systems will be acquired for virological examination of potatoes for the determination of the black ring spot virus of potatoes and soybean, for the determination of the alfalfa mosaic virus, the Arabis mosaic virus, and the tobacco non-virus spotted tobacco.In the first quarter of this year, the phyto lab expanded the area of production of biological plant protection products, acquired the necessary equipment, which doubled the production volume of liquid biological plant protection products.
