The critical situation that prevailed at the Dnepropetrovsk stud farm No. 65 last week was resolved with the help of animal feed. The threat of starvation was prevented by 15 tons of oats and 9 tons of barley, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy shared information.
Currently, specialists of the Ministry are carefully studying the causes of such a critical situation in order to create appropriate management decisions in order to prevent such cases.
The Ministry emphasized that the government has no right to interfere in the economic activities of accountable business entities. Such structures include the DP “Horse breeding of Ukraine”, which includes the Dnepropetrovsk stud factory No. 65.To date, the situation with feed has been settled and all animals receive the necessary nutrition. For information, at the end of April 2019, at the Dnepropetrovsk stud farm # 65, the feed ran out and the threat of starvation hung over the animals.
200 horses could have died, and foals would have fallen from starvation in the first place. The entire breeding stock of the stud farm had offspring that began to suffer from a lack of milk. The management informed the Ministry of Agrarian Policy about the critical situation at the plant.
