Last month, on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, some commodity items of food of farm origin significantly fell in price.
In particular, according to market analysts, the price of white cabbage has significantly decreased. And today, this product is sold at a price that in just a few weeks has fallen by more than fifty-five percent.
Cucumbers also fell in price, which before the onset of summer were sold at forty-five percent more expensive than in June of this year.
Among the agricultural products for which prices were reduced in the first summer month of 2019, there are also tomatoes, bell peppers and onions. Their average cost dropped by almost twenty-seven percent.
However, there are also vegetables that cannot boast of a decrease in their value in the Belarusian market. So, in June, potatoes went up by almost fifty-five percent, and beets rose in price by more than twenty-two percent. Carrots “went in plus” by almost fourteen percent.
Grapes also significantly increased in price, which in June cost Belarusian buyers eleven percent more than in May this year.
Among the non-food group of goods there was a slight increase in the price of cigarettes and spirits.
