An enthusiast from the Chernihiv region Pavel Slavinsky undertook to grow a fast-growing paulownia tree. In the future, the farmer intends to expand the cultivation area of paulownia to 6 hectares.
Pavel Slavinsky plans to use the resulting wood for the production of ecological furniture.
“Paulownia is adapted to our climate and can withstand temperatures up to -30 ° C. This tree has very large yellow, blue, purple flowers with a diameter of 10-15 cm that bloom from 40 to 60 days, ”said Pavel Slavinsky.
Paulownia
In Europe, it is widely used precisely as commercial wood, in addition, it is a very valuable honey plant. Pavel Slavinsky is going to use wood for the manufacture of eco-furniture.
“One tree produces a cube of commercial wood. Paulownia can be cut four times under the root and it grows back — that is, it planted a field once and was provided with wood for 50 years, ”Pavel Slavinsky shared the information.
Earlier it was reported that the plantation of paulownia in the Rivne region is growing farmer Anton Kuzmich. Energy trees are located on two sites of 3 hectares.
