The farm of the village Muzykivka of the Kherson region begins the production of fuel brackets from grapevines.
Vineyards and orchards spread over thousands of hectares of the Kherson region. After trimming, there are always many branches left in them, which farmers usually immediately burn in order not to engage in export. At the same time, air is polluted with harmful substances and such use of plant waste cannot be called rational.
Currently, the company is already engaged in the adjustment of equipment and negotiations with the horticultural economy on the self-removal of unnecessary branches. The company's management plans to receive plant waste from smaller farms. Perhaps the branches will accept in exchange for products.
The existing production facilities allow the production of 300 tons of biofuel per month. The chairman of the local UTO, Alexander Leibzon, has already become interested in the products. If the community likes the price, they will be happy to buy briquettes. Only for heating two schools in the villages of Vostochnoye and Muzykovka every month at least 630 tons of solid fuel are needed. Buying fuel briquettes from neighbors will be cheaper than transporting fuel from afar, overpaying for transportation costs. If such enterprises appear in the surrounding villages, and the demand for grapevine biofuels increases, gardeners will not be able to give away waste, but they will also make money on it.
