According to the staff of the Center for Monitoring the Fishing Industry of the Russian Federation, today, May 9, 2019, domestic fishermen managed to catch a huge amount of fish.

We are talking about 1.78 million tons of fish of different breeds. Despite the fact that the indicator seems impressive, such a volume does not at all surprise experts in the fishing industry.

At least for the reason that last year Russian fishermen by mid-May caught seventeen percent more fish than today. Such information was shared with the public by employees of the press secretary of the Federal Agency for Fishery.

They also emphasized that, for example, about forty-seven and a half tons of fish have been caught in the waters of the Western Fisheries Basin since the beginning of this year (it is noteworthy that these figures are six percent higher than last year in the same region).

If we talk about the volumes of catch of sprat in the same Western fisheries basin, here, the employees of the Monitoring Center say, we are talking about thirty-two thousand tons of catch in 2019. Baltic herring fell on the bait of Russian fishermen in the amount of thirteen and a half thousand tons.
