Chechen farmers have huge potential for the production and export of halal products in the Russian Federation. The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov is convinced of this.
The Minister came to this conclusion during his stay in the capital of the Chechen Republic - in Grozny. Reporting on the visit, the head of the Ministry of Industry emphasized that in ten years, a fifth of the products consumed worldwide will be directly halal goods. And behind the turnover of such products, Manturov is convinced, there are not tens, but hundreds of billions of dollars.
“Our country has great opportunities in this regard,” said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. “Especially among Chechen producers of meat and other products.” Manturov also noted the positive impact on halal production by the head of the Chechen region, Ramzan Kadyrov, who aims to increase the export of halal products to the Middle East market.
At the moment, the government of the Russian Federation is developing a national export development program and will pay a lot of attention to supporting just halal traffic. It will not be superfluous to note that the term "Halal" among Muslims is primarily a confirmation of compliance with Islamic traditions. The Halal label means that the product does not contain ingredients that are prohibited for Muslims (pork, blood, etc.) and is a pure product of “Spiritual Origin”.
