Private economy from s. Sands in the Bashtansky district of the Nikolaev region turned out to be the epicenter of ASF. The ASF led to the incident, it is told in the message of GU of the State Consumer Service in the Nikolaev area.
Specialists of the emergency antiepizootic commission at the Bashtan district state administration visited the affected farm, where they established the boundaries of the epizootic focus and the protection and surveillance zone.
A protection zone with a radius of 3 km covered settlements: s. Sands and s. Konstantinovka Bashtansky district of the Nikolaev area.
A surveillance zone with a radius of 4 km were named: p. Novobirzulovka, s. Shlyakhovoe, s. Freedom, p. Novopetrovka, with. Kashpero-Nikolaevka and with. Novofontanka of the Bashtansky district of the Nikolaev area.
Currently, actions are being taken to eliminate the outbreak of ASF in accordance with the Instruction for the Prevention and Control of African Swine Fever, which was approved by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that a case of ASF was detected among wild pigs inhabiting the Khortitsa nature reserve in the Zaporizhzhya region. Killed 15 individuals.
