The end of the season of Ukrainian blueberries turned out to be not entirely successful for gardeners who hoped to maintain high prices for products.
Until recently, there were hopes for prices that opened the blueberry season (about 300-400 UAH / kg.), But their rapid growth was restrained by competition with European producers, namely Poland.
European neighbors were waiting for a convenient moment when they could export their blueberries to Ukraine, but domestic producers restrained this at the cost of not being able to raise the selling price above 200 UAH / kg.
Ukrainian supermarkets and markets still sell blueberries at prices of 180-250 UAH / kg, but the quality of berries can already be summarized that the season is still coming to an end and the next week may be the last when consumers can enjoy Ukrainian blueberries.
This year, export geography not only surprised, but impressed many experts not only by its branching nature, but also by the demanding markets.
With such work of Ukrainian manufacturers, in the next season one can expect not only a quantitative increase in export volumes, but also a quality product with high added value.
