According to representatives of the European Commission, the start of the new season was marked for the EU countries by a sharp increase in imports of various vegetable oils and raw materials for their manufacture.
For example, based on the message, we can safely say that the import of soybeans to the EU has reached unprecedented proportions - eight hundred ninety-six thousand eight hundred tons. It should be noted that this indicator is eighty-one percent higher than the figures recorded last season.
It is noteworthy that rapeseed imports also grew. And today, EU countries import forty-nine percent more of this crop than last season - about sixty thousand tons.
As for sunflower, an increase of forty-five percent is obvious here - up to six thousand two hundred tons. It will not be superfluous to note that the upward trend has also changed in the imports of soybean meal (plus forty-nine percent).
The volumes of import of sunflower meal (plus seventy-three percent and an indicator of one hundred ninety seven thousand three hundred tons) and sunflower oil (plus seventy-eight percent and the current indicator of one hundred sixty two and a half thousand tons) are growing.
The growth of imported indicators of soybean oil - plus thirty-eight percent and the actual volume of fifteen thousand six hundred tons.
