According to EastFruit project analysts, this week there was a decrease in selling prices for potatoes. This led to a sharp increase in potato supply in the country's markets.

Today, potatoes are shipped by domestic vegetable growers at a price of 7-9 UAH / kg, which is 0.27-0.35 dollars / kg, depending on the quality of the product and the region of its sale. Recall that last week the price of potatoes was on average 10% higher.

Potato price reduction was recorded in almost all regions of Ukraine. The reason for it everywhere was an increase in supply due to the resumption of mass harvesting. It is noteworthy that this year potatoes are of rather poor quality, which also affects its value.

Interestingly, even despite the downward trend in prices, potatoes are currently sold at the Ukrainian market twice as much as in 2018.

At the same time, project analysts are of the opinion that the price of the product will continue to fall with an increase in the number of its market offers.
