The communal enterprise "Decorative Cultures" has already announced a tender for the purchase of 150 tons of herbicide, said Alexei Chepurko, deputy city head for housing and communal services.

Information about the tender was published on the ProZorro procurement site on April 12. Now the acceptance of offers continues. The expected cost is 3.2 million UAH, the auction is due to take place on May 2, 2019.

The plans of the authorities of Poltava also include the purchase of equipment. For its acquisition have already allocated 414 thousand UAH "Decorative crops". Another unit of equipment will receive the Poltava KATP-1628, the PESO Gorsvet and the KP Special Combine Funeral Service.

It is planned to invest in the purchase of trailers for tractors with tanks for chemicals. Thanks to the large tanks, you can process large areas. In addition, manual sprayers will be purchased that will be used to process small areas, said Alexei Chepurko.

There are 2 stages to fight with ambrosia. First, the plants are treated with chemicals and mowed in a week, and then again treated with the herbicide in case of germination. Two-stage processing is expected to produce results in 2-3 years.
