Locally grown radishes went on sale two weeks ago, but its value has already fallen. The decline in prices increased the pace after March 20, leading to the current cost, which is 2 times less than in the last days of March 2018, analysts at the Info-Shuvar information center said in a statement.

The decrease in radish prices is influenced by an increase in its supply. Lowering the cost greatly stimulates consumer interest in the product. Today on sale you can see radishes with tops and radishes with cut greens in impressive plastic bags.

Radishes with tops are bought by both wholesalers and the public. Radish without tops is a product for large enterprises engaged in the purchase of large quantities. Later they place the goods at the points of sale of the country, explains the representative of ORSP Ivan Fedishin.

From the first days of this month, 90 tons of radish were sold on the Shuvara market, which is 4 times more than in the same period last year. According to the forecasts of Info-Shuvar experts, large volumes of radishes will appear on the markets next month. As usual, April gives 70% of the annual radish.

As of March 27, 2019, in the Lviv market of ORS “Shuvar”, locally produced radishes with tops are within 7-8 UAH, and radishes without tops are 29-30 UAH / kg.
